The Cedars-Sinai Pathology Group is comprised of 40 MDs and Ph.Ds who provide comprehensive pathology services in diagnostic anatomic pathology, molecular pathology, hematopathology, immunohistochemistry, coagulation and cytogenetics. The group is nationally renowned for its diagnostic excellence and leadership in the field of pathology. Faculty have authored more than 1,000 papers in the last 20 years and are involved nationally with educational courses. There is an active teaching program with over 29 residents and fellows. The department performs over 3.5 million tests including 47,000 surgicals; approximately 30% of the volume is outreach. These services are provided in 55,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories supported by approximately 450 technical staff.
