Background and Expectations

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the California Society of Pathologists. The board reviews and approves the annual budget, quarterly finances, organizational policy and provides direction for CSP’s public policy and advocacy objectives. Board members also help volunteer leaders and staff meet organizational objectives, including supporting membership recruitment and retention efforts, and personally soliciting Annual Meeting attendees and corporate supporters. The CSP Board of Directors meets four times a year including one in person meeting at the Annual Meeting.

Members of the Board of Directors are expected to attend three of the four board meetings, register to attend CSP’s Annual Meeting, and support other organizational and fundraising objectives as they are able to do so.

Active member board members serve a three-year term with an opportunity to subsequent terms if nominated and elected.

Dear Colleague:

While many of our colleagues found the time to travel and/or find some quiet time over the summer, the leadership and staff team at CSP have been very busy working on behalf of our members, our society and our shared profession of pathology.

CSP Annual Meeting in San Francisco, December 4-7
